In honor of February being American Heart month, I wanted to share some important ways you can take care of your heart:

  1. Eat a right-fat diet.
  2. Eat more plants.
  3. Eat more potassium and less sodium.
  4. Graze (smaller meals more frequently).
  5. Move – “USE IT OR LOSE IT” (movers have stronger heart muscles; sitters have weaker heart muscles).
  6. Relax.
  7. Stay lean.
