Just as berries such, as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, are great for fighting memory loss, so are foods like spinach and eggs.

  • Spinach is another great food to combat memory loss since it is filled with vitamins like folate and vitamins E and K. Mix some spinach into your salads or cook it up on the stove and add to another dish. If you don’t like the taste of spinach, sneak it into a fruit smoothie so you can still get all the vegetable’s healthy benefits without the taste.
  • Eggs are another healthy option and can be enjoyed anytime of the day!  While a lot of people like to avoid the egg yolk for cholesterol concerns, they are missing out on a lot of the nutrients that are found only in the yolk. For example, the yolk of the egg is the part that contains choline, which has been shown to aid memory.

One of my favorite breakfasts is an omelet with spinach and mushrooms!  Pair that with a side of fruit and you have a perfect meal to help keep your memory sharp. Some things in life are out of our control, but what we can control is what we are putting into our bodies – which can make a huge difference as we age.
